Amber | Virginia Tech Graduation Portrait Photographer

This was my first chance to take Virginia Tech graduation photos for one of the members of the Hokie cheerleading squad! We started out at Amber’s favorite bar, Big Al’s, made our way around campus from the iconic Virginia Tech sign on Main Street to Burruss Hall. Amber is very outdoorsy, so we found a more rural feel out at Heritage Park with fields of grain and an old barn. We went back to campus to meet up with Amber’s cheer partner for some stunts then wrapped it all up on the Pylons in front of Torgersen Bridge.

Charlie | Virginia Tech Graduation Portrait Photographer

Charlie is a VIP alumna of the Virginia Tech Howard Feiertag Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management. She did a wonderful job managing the social media and writing blog posts for the department. After a year of working together at my day job, I was honored to be able to take Charlie’s Virginia Tech graduation photos for her! Want to know how much of a superstar she is? She’s already moved to England and completed her masters thesis at Bournemouth University in the time it has taken me to share her senior portraits.

Allie + Melinda | Virginia Tech Graduation Portrait Photographer

What’s more fun than wandering around all the beautiful landmarks at Virginia Tech for graduation photos? How about some Virginia Tech senior portraits with your BFF! I met up with Melinda and Allie in front of Newman Library, it was a gorgeous spring day so naturally campus was filled with Hokie’s in their graduation caps and gowns taking photos. We goofed around and patiently [sometimes impatiently] waiting for our turn for space in front of the Pylons and Burruss Hall. This pair is absolutely hilarious and if I had been in college at the same time as them, I would love to have been friends with them! I loved this tight knit duo and that they decided to have their graduation photos taken together, what a great way to relive and remember all of the wonderful times that they had at Virginia Tech before walking across stage as, gulp, for real adults!

Wellsley | Virginia Tech Graduation Portrait Photographer

Wellsley’s Virginia Tech graduation photos were so fun! She brought along her goldendoodle for some sweet pet photography sprinkled in, he even dressed up in a sweet little maroon and orange Hokie bandana around his neck. Wellsley spent her time at Virginia Tech studying to become a teacher. She was such a stellar student that she got a gold medal in grades [for being part of the Virginia Tech University Honors Program aka the academic Olympics].

I loved hanging out with Wellsley, her pupperino, fiancé, and her mother. Just so you know, if you bring your mama along for your senior portraits, I am going to get some photos of the two of you together because I know she is so proud of you that she’ll have sunbeams radiating out of her face and I am obligated to capture all that love and happiness for future enjoyment and reminiscing. I love the cheerful, bright Lilly Pulitzer dress that Wellsley chose for her Virginia Tech graduation portraits, happy prints and colors for a joyous occasion!
