While I had seen people posting about Blogilates before, I had never really looked at the site before. I did, however want to get smokin’ hot before I turn 30 and have taken pilates classes before and know that I greatly prefer those types of exercises to cardio because I don’t enjoy feeling like I’m having a heart attack. I picked up Cassey Ho's Hot Body Year-Round: The POP Pilates Plan to Get Slim, Eat Clean, and Live Happy Through Every Season and was excited to get started. By the time I got through a few chapters, I went and followed Blogilates across every social media platform, Cassey is wonderful, informative, and keeps the information she presents simple and to the point.
The book is broken down by season with recommendations on what to eat based on what types of foods are in season and exercises to go along with it. She includes recipes for each season as well as motivational writing. I think this is a great supplement to working out with her videos on YouTube (videos help you keep the flow going when you are working out whereas if you are only using the book you might have to stop to see what comes next).
Please excuse the lack of before and after pictures, I really like to eat a lot of pizza and sweets that are totally not part of Cassey’s clean eating regimen. I cannot follow a diet and exercise plan to save my life – even though this book has REALLY well thought out meal planning guides and exercise. My failure to prioritize my weight loss has nothing to do with the quality of this book, it totally rocked!
