I met up with Leah and her bridesmaids at the Oaks Victorian Inn in Christiansburg where the ladies were working on applying makeup in their ADORABLE matching Plum Pretty Sugar pajama sets. Some of the makeup they used was even handmade by one of the bridesmaids, Alaina and as a lover of all things crafty, I thought that was pretty amazing! Speaking of amazing, there are no words for how madly in love I am with Leah’s Justin Alexander wedding dress, the lace detailing is so perfect, you really have to see it in person to get the full appreciation. I was so excited Mother’s Day weekend when I first saw the dress in all its glory for her bridal portrait session.
The ceremony was very intimate, Chris’ cousin and sister performed live music prior to the ceremony. His other sister read scripture during the ceremony. Before the ceremony, Reverend Tuck had Chris and Leah write letters to each other. Their messages to each other were used to create a deeply personal ceremony. At the reception we enjoyed live music performed by a local band called Awesomesauce and a delicious cake by Grrreat Cakes that was adorned with beautiful roses and peonies.
