I met Jenna years ago through some form of social media, but it feels like I have known her for a lifetime. I was so excited to hear when she and Jay became engaged and even more excited when she asked me to be her wedding photographer. Jenna and Jay met through mutual friends who were planning a wedding of their own and it was a match made in heaven – they are so sweet together that I cried at least 5 times on their wedding day (usually I only cry once, I can’t help myself, true love is so lovely). Jay proposed at Jenna’s favorite restaurant, The River Company, on the balcony overlooking Radford.
Their wedding took place at Big Spring Farm in Lexington, Virginia. I was head over heels in love with their stunning vintage themed wedding decor that Jenna picked up from thrift stores and rented from LTD7 – doilies, polished silver, hobnob vases, mercury glass, tea tins, quilting fabric scraps around the flatware, succulents, a typewriter, and old books (that she was kind enough to let me borrow when we worked together on a vintage themed styled shoot last spring). Guests were sent home with succulents of their own as wedding favors. The whole day was beautiful and intimate followed by an all-night epic dance party!
