I have wanted Kenna to model for me for years so when she contacted me about photographing her wedding I was completely ecstatic! Then we met up in person to talk details and she told me it was going to have a bit of a vintage circus theme, and my excitement level was even higher which I didn't even know that was possible.
Kenna and Alex met in sixth grade when they had classes together at the same middle school. He proposed by casting an engagement ring out of silver, burying it in a treasure chest, and making Kenna a pirate map to lead her to it.
Their wedding was very unique, nontraditional, and informal (all things I love). Pretty sure I haven't attended a wedding where Black Sabbath was on the play list before and it was amazing! Each member of their bridal party got to choose their own attire. The ladies were all wearing gorgeous necklaces shaped like a hot air balloon with dandelion seeds inside. Kenna started out the day surprising her friends and family by wearing a white lace dress, after the ceremony she slipped into a fabulous black velvet dress that was a little more her style. There were beautiful toasts, dancing, delicious food, craft beer brewed by the groom, and cigars - a truly wonderful night!
