Jacque | Blacksburg Head Shot and Portrait Photographer

I met up with Jacque at the Moss Arts Center at Virginia Tech as our first location for her professional head shots. I love stepping out of the box and taking head shots outdoors to help show off your personality versus a flat studio backdrop, that just isn’t my forte. Exploring the natural beauty that surrounds us every day is more my jam, and this was extra perfect for Jacque’s session because that natural beauty is so close to both of our offices at Virginia Tech – especially the Hahn Horticulture Garden portion of her session!

I love taking professional headshots for folks. Sometimes when I am browsing through LinkedIn, I am shocked that there are no photos at all or extremely unprofessional/blurry/vacation photos being used on profiles. It makes me cringe a little since a profile photo is your first impression online and it is a professional social media network that is primarily used to network and find jobs. Break the cycle, come see me please, I am stressed out for you. /rant

Eleanor's Headshots at the Virginia Tech University Club

With our shared love of lace and floral prints and an abundance of mutual friends... it was clearly destiny that brought Eleanor and myself together.  She was looking for some headshots and I was so thrilled when she suggested the University Club at Virginia Tech as a possible indoor location for us to shoot - the place is GORGEOUS!  I was also very excited to hear that she will be in the upcoming production on campus of A Midsummer Night's Dream in a few weeks because I love that play, I'm going to have to go check it out in a couple of weeks (you should too, here's the show info).  Eleanor kind of reminds me of Dakota or Elle Fanning, but while I was editing my boyfriend insisted she looks more like Chloe Moretz.  What do you think?
