Blacksburg Faux Bridal Portraits

I met Taylor through Instagram, if you follow me and interact with me on there or any other form of social media, there is a pretty good chance we’ll become friends and end up inviting you to come model for me at some point. Some of the photos were taken at the greenhouses on the campus of Virginia Tech (right next to the Hahn Horticulture Garden) and the others were taken around downtown Blacksburg.  The necklace is from Chloe + Isabel; dresses are from Bliss by Monique Lhuillier and Nicole Miller.

If you couldn’t tell by the two different wedding dresses in these photos, this is a faux bridal session so if you are Kaylee’s friend don’t get freaked out that you missed the memo.  I bought some wedding dresses earlier this year to play around with for photo sessions.  Kaylee is a hair and makeup artist so she usually spends her time behind the scenes…  It is always nice to get her beautiful face in front of my camera.  The first necklace is vintage, it belongs to Kaylee’s mother, the second necklace is from Chloe + Isabel .  The second wedding gown is by Winnie Couture.  Lace edged veil is from Simply Bridal.  These photos were taken at the Hahn Horticulture Garden on campus at Virginia Tech and in the green house adjacent to the garden.

I met Natalee through Instagram earlier this year. She’s a gorgeous girl and an fierce athlete.  How amazing are her eyes?  Her hair and makeup was done by Kaylee Graves; the first necklace is from Sabika, second necklace is from Chloe + Isabel.  These bridal portraits were taken in Hahn Horticulture Garden on the campus of Virginia Tech as well as in the greenhouses next to the garden.

Leah’s Smithfield Plantation Bridal Portraits

I met up with Leah and her mother on Mother’s Day weekend for some bridal portraits. We planned on taking photos at Smithfield Plantation already, but due to the rain we were limited to only working inside the house. Even without being able to wander around on the grounds, the beautiful interior of the historic house with its huge windows ended up being an amazing backdrop. I love how these photos turned out and I am so madly in love with Leah’s Justin Alexander dress!

Brittany's Southern Farm Bridal Portraits in Floyd, Virginia

I have been dying to post Brittany’s bridal portraits from the first weekend of May, it’s so hard to keep them secret. Since yesterday was Brittany’s wedding day, I’m excited that I finally get to post them.  Brittany's bridal portrait session took place at her grandmother’s house in Floyd, Virginia (which is where I am originally from). There was a beautiful pond with geese and a gorgeous distressed barn which made for a perfect backdrop. Brittany’s lace mermaid wedding gown is so lovely.  She made her yellow bridal bouquet for this photo session herself, as well as her long wedding veil.  Make sure you check out Brittany's backyard wedding photos too!
